Job summary

OMNI Consulting Solutions is seeking a Satellite Flight Software Engineer to provide SETA support to a government team delivering advanced national security space capabilities. The engineer will evaluate flight software architectures, onboard code, FPGA artifacts, and hardware/software interfaces across development, integration, and operations.

On-site in Chantilly, VA or Seal Beach, CA; US citizenship and TS/SCI with polygraph are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 9+ years of relevant experience, or master's degree and 7+ years.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Hands-on embedded flight-software experience across spacecraft processors, FPGA, and interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent SETA support to Government stakeholders overseeing spacecraft flight-software and embedded-system development, integration, qualification, and operations.
• Assess flight-software architectures, source code, FPGA implementations, device drivers, and hardware/software interfaces.
• Review software requirements, designs, interface-control documents, code-review findings, FPGA artifacts, build/release products, test plans, procedures, results, discrepancy reports, and verification evidence.
• Evaluate command and telemetry processing, timekeeping, data handling, autonomy, fault management, and safe-mode behavior.
