Job summary

OMNI Consulting Solutions is seeking a Satellite Lead Mission Systems Engineer in Chantilly, VA to provide SETA support for a high-priority national security space program. You will serve as the mission engineering lead coordinating activities across Government, contractor, and SETA teams through assembly, integration, testing, launch prep, and readiness.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or related STEM with 14 years of relevant exp; or a Master’s with 12 years.
• Minimum of five years in a senior systems engineering leadership role on a large satellite/space system program.
• Expert-level systems engineering for spacecraft integration, test, verification, checkout, and launch prep.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate across organizations.
• Strong understanding of spacecraft lifecycles, engineering processes, risk management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Government Program Office’s technical focal point for mission-level development, integration, test, and launch prep.
• Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team of systems engineers and SMEs across the system lifecycle.
• Advise Government and SETA PMs on mission performance, risks, schedules, and readiness.
• Coordinate with contractor teams, factory reps, and integration personnel to monitor progress and address issues.
• Analyze spacecraft integration activities, test results, verification evidence, and readiness data for decisions.
• Identify and communicate technical, integration, verification, and schedule risks impacting objectives.
• Track development progress and provide status updates during reviews.
• Support AI&T activities, requirements verification, system checkout, and readiness assessments.
• Prepare executive briefings and engineering assessments for senior leadership.
• Coordinate activities across distributed teams to align with mission objectives.
