Job summary

OMNI Consulting Solutions seeks a Satellite Systems Engineer (SETA) in Chantilly, VA to provide SETA support for a high-visibility national security space program. The role emphasizes systems engineering across the lifecycle, coordination with Government, contractor, and SETA teams, and MBSE activities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in systems engineering, satellite program experience, and the ability to collaborate across organizations in a fast-paced acquisition

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Aerospace, EE, Systems, CS, or physics).
• 5+ years with a Bachelor’s or 3+ with a Master’s degree in relevant fields.
• 4+ years supporting Government or commercial satellite programs.
• Experience with requirements development, traceability, interfaces, and system integration.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to brief technical and non-technical audiences.
• Willingness to travel periodically and collaborate across organizations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a member of the Government Program Office technical team supporting satellite systems development and integration (bus, payload, ground segment).
• Act as embedded representative supporting contractor SE activities and provide technical insight to Government stakeholders.
• Translate mission needs into detailed technical specifications and system requirements.
• Assist with interface definition, management, and coordination across elements and stakeholders.
• Support MBSE products and system models development and assessment.
• Provide technical oversight to ensure compliance with requirements, interfaces, and engineering standards.
• Assist with system integration, verification, validation, and test activities; support risk assessments and mitigations.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for system integration and mission execution.
• Prepare technical briefings, assessments, and status reports for Government leadership.
