Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Spacecraft Flight Operations Engineer to perform real-time operations, plan mission support, and respond to on-orbit events. Extensive telemetry analysis and software tools will be used to ensure mission success.

You will join a team supporting rotating shifts, with extensive training leading to advanced qualifications. Citizenship and security clearance are required due to government program involvement.

Qualifications

• Ability to support a rotating work schedule.
• Prior operations experience.
• Strong system engineering, analytical, and problem-solving skills in a team environment.
• Experience working in a dynamic customer environment and proven customer relations skills.
• Must have strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Must possess an active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance, US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts real time spacecraft flight operations during readiness, execution and evaluation phases.
• Develops detailed plans and procedures to maximize mission support.
• Provides technical direction for on-orbit mission support and plans for critical vehicle malfunctions.
• Performs analysis of telemetry data to validate satellite performance and recommends improvements.
• Utilizes system software for spacecraft control tasks and studies orbit dynamics.
