Job summary

SAIC in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Satellite Systems Software Engineer to advance space capabilities for DoD and IC customers. The role requires leading system engineering activities across the life cycle and collaborating with multi-agency teams on embedded software for space systems.

The successful candidate will have deep expertise in embedded software architecture, real-time systems, and the ability to operate with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelors and 14 years of relevant experience; OR Masters and 12 years of relevant experience.
• Experience designing and developing software for real-time or non-real-time systems.
• Expert in embedded software system architecture, design, integration and test.
• Ability to work with government/contractor teams and operate with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Directly contribute to the Government’s mission success through comprehensive analysis and system engineering activities.
• Analyze designs and software for embedded devices and systems to meet industry and regulatory standards.
• Translate customer requirements into software designs for embedded devices and systems.
• Analyze, monitor and improve the efficiency and stability of embedded software systems.
• Witness tests for embedded devices and systems and recommend technology updates.
