Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced EGSE engineer to design, develop, and integrate electrical ground support equipment for satellite production. You will define architecture with cross-functional teams and develop automated test sequences for high-volume workflows.

The role requires hands-on hardware work on the production floor, with strong RF test capabilities and expertise in phased array testing, beam steering, and EIRP verification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/RF engineering or related field
• 8+ years in EGSE design, development, and integration for aerospace or satellites
• Experience designing RF test systems with signal generators, spectrum analyzers, VNAs
• Hands-on phased array antenna test and characterization (beam steering, gain, EIRP)
• Know RF fundamentals: link budgets, noise figure, return loss, gain flatness
• Experience with automated test software (Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB)
• Experience with hardware/software configuration management for EGSE systems

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate EGSE hardware/software for satellite production
• Define EGSE architecture with systems, avionics, RF, payload teams
• Develop automated test sequences for high-volume production workflows
• Execute RF test campaigns on phased array systems and characterize beam steering, EIRP, gain patterns
• Maintain configuration control and calibration status across EGSE assets
• Author and execute test procedures and interface control documents
• Track and drive closure on test anomalies across subsystem teams
• Support scaling of test infrastructure as production rate increases
• Work hands-on with hardware on the production floor during integration/tests
