Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Sr. EGSE Automation Test Engineer to lead the test automation framework for HIL verification on the Terawave program. You will develop automated test scripts and regression suites and mentor the automation team.

Preferred candidates have 7+ years in test automation, strong Python skills, and experience with hardware interfaces. This role supports production-line qualification and collaboration with EGSE software, VTB, and Electrical Test teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or closely related field.
• 7+ years of test automation, embedded software testing, or hardware-in-the-loop test development.
• Proficiency in Python and automated testing frameworks for hardware contexts.
• Experience integrating automated test systems with hardware interfaces (serial protocols, data buses, analog I/O).
• Ability to design scalable, maintainable test frameworks and communicate status to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain test automation framework for production-line deployment.
• Develop automated scripts and regression suites for HIL verification to improve coverage.
• Create data-driven test sequences optimized for cycle time and coverage.
• Debug failures and improve robustness and repeatability of tests.
• Mentor automation engineers and deliver training on tools and scripting practices.
