The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA is seeking an Electromechanical Controls Engineer to support spacecraft and launch-vehicle programs through hands-on design, testing, and analysis of control systems and sensors. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
- 6 years of professional or educational experience.
- Experience with electronics, mechanical design, control systems, inertial sensors, and actuators.
- Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink, dSPACE, LabVIEW, SolidWorks, C/C++, and Python.
- Willingness to travel ~10%.
Responsibilities
- Conduct technical studies involving evaluation, analysis, modeling or simulation of control systems.
- Perform experimental investigations in the Mechatronics Research Laboratory and other Aerospace labs, including controller design and verification.
- Interact with government customers, program management, and contractors to support multiple programs.
- Communicate results clearly to internal and external stakeholders as a technical authority, consultant, or project lead.
