Job summary

Cinteot Inc. in Fort Meade, MD, is seeking a Senior Satellite Communications Systems Security Engineer to assess vulnerabilities, implement security controls, and map RMF artifacts for DoD communications systems.

You will develop STIGs, perform IAVM tasks, coordinate with cross‑functional teams, brief leadership on risk posture, and help prevent and mitigate future threats in a national security environment.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing, testing, and validating STIGs.
• Experience executing IAVM actions and developing compliant responses.
• Deploying and validating ESS, ACAS, and CMRS; analyzing scans and remediation.
• Reviewing change requests for DoD systems to maintain compliance.
• Knowledge of RMF applications to networks and IT systems (Cisco, AD, access control).
• Ability to accredit and secure DoD systems using RMF and prepare assessment artifacts.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships and communicate security concepts to diverse audiences.
• Implement infrastructure and cybersecurity controls with improved detection and correlation.
• Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments across network, system, and apps.
• Develop and validate STIG requirements for systems.
• Perform periodic self‑assessments and create STIG checklists.
• Manage IAVM activities and respond to vulnerabilities and alerts.
