Job summary

Cinteot is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support RMF accreditation activities and security assessments for DoD environments. You will work on securing networks, evaluating system designs, and ensuring compliance with IA standards in a hands-on role on-site at Fort Meade.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in cybersecurity engineering, DoD RMF experience, and CISA/CISSP/CISM-type certifications, with strong communication skills to present risk findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field.
• DoD 8140.03 / 8570.01-M baseline certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP, CISM) required.
• At least 7 years of cybersecurity engineering, RMF/DIACAP experience in DoD environments.
• Expertise in DISA STIGs/SRGs, ACAS/HBSS vulnerability analysis, and eMASS package preparation.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to present risk findings to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate RMF accreditation life cycle for sub-projects.
• Support periodic security scans per RMF policy.
• Validate system security requirement definitions and designs.
• Perform security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigations.
• Review network diagrams and VPNs; apply TLS/security knowledge.
