Job summary

CesiumAstro in Westminster, MD is seeking a Sales Engineer to lead technical demonstrations, evaluations, and field deployments of advanced SATCOM terminals. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Systems, Computer Eng., Physics or related field.
• 5+ years in SATCOM, RF or defense customer-facing roles.
• Hands-on experience with satellite terminals, modems, RF, and networking.
• Strong understanding of IP networking and terrestrial integration.
• Familiarity with DVB-S2X, TDMA, SCPC, OFDM and ACM.
• Understanding of GEO/MEO/LEO satellite networks and gateway infrastructure.
• Ability to travel 25–50% for customer engagements.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer demonstrations of SATCOM terminals across markets.
• Plan, configure, and execute live demonstrations and field trials.
• Travel to customer sites, test ranges, and industry events.
• Operate, configure, and troubleshoot SATCOM terminals and RF gear during demos.
• Develop demonstration scenarios highlighting performance metrics and use cases.
• Serve as technical lead during evaluations and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with BD and Account Managers on pursuits.
• Create technical content and solution architectures for proposals.
• Translate requirements into demonstration plans and criteria.
• Provide feedback to product/engineering teams.
• Support verification of new features before demonstrations.
