Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Salt Lake City is seeking a Scientist, Project Engineer to lead tactical duties for Protected and Hybrid SATCOM programs. You will oversee cost/schedule/technical aspects under guidance from the Program Manager and ensure customer satisfaction across engineering work.

Ideal candidates hold an ABET-accredited engineering degree with extensive experience, DoD security clearance, and strong systems engineering and Earned Value Management skills.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required or 16 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Senior-level experience in defense/aerospace projects and SATCOM systems.
• Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Act as Chief Engineer and Architect for SATCOM portfolio and lead on proposals.
• Serve as single point of contact between project management, engineering team and leadership.
• Review project budgets, schedules, and status reports and drive progress.
• Develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals.
• Coordinate resources and ensure reviews/approvals are obtained.
• Lead design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and support travel to sites.
