Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Senior SAP Application Developer to design, build and deliver SAP solutions across S/4HANA and SAP BTP in support of the Retail Spine program. You will champion AI-assisted development, apply Clean Core principles, and work with SAP Platform Engineering and third-party vendors to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable apps.

The role requires 8+ years of SAP development, hands-on ABAP, Fiori/UI5, S/4HANA, and integration tech, with strong collaboration across teams

Qualifications

8+ years of SAP application development experience including ABAP, Fiori/UI5, and SAP BTP.
Hands-on SAP S/4HANA development, CDS views, RAP model, OData services, and extensibility patterns.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA, CPI, and Integration Suite; Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and deliver SAP custom and extended solutions across S/4HANA and SAP BTP.
Enforce Clean Core extensibility standards and SAP-approved patterns (BAdIs, released APIs, side-by-side extensions).
Define development taxonomy, scope, and WRICEF visibility across ABAP, Fiori/UI5, and cloud components.
Apply API-first design, governance of OData/REST APIs, CPI, and event-driven integration.
Review architecture, ensure security, code quality, and performance in agile/delivery programs.
Collaborate with SAP Solution Architects, Platform, and Basis teams to align with target architecture.
