Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Manager III, SAP Application Development to lead the design, build, and delivery of SAP solutions across S/4HANA and SAP BTP for Retail Spine.

You will champion Clean Core, API-first design, and AI-assisted development, mentor SAP developers, and collaborate with platform engineering, SI partners, and vendors to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable deployments aligned with the enterprise roadmap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of SAP application development experience (ABAP, Fiori/UI5, SAP BTP).
• 3-5+ years leading development teams or SAP delivery workstreams.
• Hands-on expertise in SAP S/4HANA development, CDS views, RAP, and extensibility.
• Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD in SAP environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, build, and delivery across S/4HANA and SAP BTP for Retail Spine.
• Enforce Clean Core extensibility standards and API-based design.
• Define development taxonomy across ABAP, Fiori, BTP, workflow, and integrations.
• Govern SI-delivered code and release processes; ensure quality and security.
• Mentor SAP developers and promote AI-assisted development practices.
