Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a seasoned Manager III SAP Application Development to lead design, build, and delivery of SAP solutions across S/4HANA and SAP BTP for the Retail Spine program.

You will champion Clean Core principles, AI-assisted tooling, and secure, scalable integration while guiding a team of developers and collaborating with SAP Platform Engineering and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of SAP application development experience with ABAP, Fiori/UI5, S/4HANA, and integration technologies.
• 3-5+ years leading development teams or SAP delivery workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership over SAP development across S/4HANA and BTP aligning with Retail Spine program objectives.
• Own and enforce the Clean Core extensibility standard across all development activity to minimize technical debt.
• Define and maintain the development taxonomy across ABAP, CDS Views, OData services, Fiori/UI5, and SAP BTP services.
• Lead API-first and service-based design using OData, REST APIs, CPI, and event-driven architectures.
• Govern SI-delivered application development work ensuring architecture standards, security, and transport governance.
• Mentor SAP application developers and technical leads, fostering engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
