Job summary

C5MI is seeking a Release Manager to own release, change, and transport management for a large-scale SAP S/4HANA modernization program for a Department of War (DoW) organization. You will establish the release calendar, govern changes, and lead cutover and go-live activities across multiple environments.

Your role requires 8+ years in SAP release/deploy, strong governance, DevSecOps integration, and the ability to travel up to 50% to client sites.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 8–10 years of relevant experience.
8+ years of SAP experience, including release, change, transport, or deployment management.
Experience with SAP transport management, multi-system landscape design, and dependency/conflict management.

Responsibilities

Owns the program release strategy and release calendar across development, QA, staging, training, and production environments.
Governs the transport landscape, route architecture, and conflict/overtake analysis.
Administers change control workflow, approval gates, and automated import scheduling.
Establishes change advisory board, emergency change procedures, and documented approval evidence.
Ensures separation of duties between development, approval, and transport import authority.
Leads cutover planning and go-live execution for deployment waves and hypercare.
