Job summary

Hawaiian Electric Companies in Hawaii seeks an IT Program Manager – SAP specialist to lead strategic SAP IT programs, guide project teams, and act as a technical resource for planning, execution, and maintenance.

You will establish program direction and budgets, mentor staff, build vendor relationships, and ensure delivery across matrixed teams in a demanding environment. Extensive SAP experience and PMP or equivalent are preferred.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of information systems technologies
• Thorough knowledge of SAP and SAP related information systems and related infra
• Intermediate to advanced WAN/LAN/voice tech and common office software
• Understanding of IT governance, budgeting and staff administration desirable

Responsibilities

• Establishes and manages strategic directions, objectives, budgets and projects for SAP IT programs
• Provides leadership as SME and mentor to project teams
• Leads staff development and supervision within the group
• Develops and maintains vendor/consultant relationships
• Available for after-hours work and weekend coverage
• Participates in emergency response activities
