Job summary

Omiz Staffing Solutions (OSS) seeks an experienced Senior SDET lead to support a large SAP IS-U / CIS transformation for a major utilities client. You will oversee testing strategy, SIT, UAT, and end-to-end validation of complex meter-to-cash processes.

Ideal candidates have SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of billing, payments, collections, and metering workflows. Remote work within the US with occasional travel to Columbus, OH may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead test strategy, planning, governance, and execution oversight for SAP IS-U / CIS transformation initiatives.
• Manage SIT, UAT, regression testing and end-to-end testing.
• Validate utility business processes including meter-to-cash, billing, payments, and collections.
• Review test scenarios, test cases, requirements traceability, and testing deliverables to identify coverage gaps.
• Manage defects, testing risks, reporting, and resolution tracking.
• Oversee data conversion validation, billing reconciliation, and system integration testing.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and implementation partners to ensure quality and readiness.
• Communicate testing progress, risks, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Job description

We are seeking experienced Senior SDETs to support a large-scale SAP IS-U / Customer Information System (CIS) transformation program in the utilities industry.

The ideal candidate will have strong testing leadership experience, SAP IS-U or relevant SAP Utilities experience, and a deep understanding of utility business processes, including metering, billing, payments, collections, and meter-to-cash operations.

This role requires someone who can lead testing activities, assess test coverage and quality, identify gaps, manage risks, and ensure end-to-end business processes are thoroughly validated.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead test strategy, planning, governance, and execution oversight for SAP IS-U / CIS transformation initiatives.
• Manage System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate utility business processes, including meter-to-cash, metering, billing, payments, and collections.
• Review test scenarios, test cases, requirements traceability, and testing deliverables to identify coverage gaps.
• Manage defects, testing risks, reporting, and resolution tracking.
• Oversee data conversion validation, billing reconciliation, and system integration testing.
• Evaluate testing quality, identify gaps in test approaches, and ensure adequate test coverage.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and implementation partners to ensure quality and business readiness.
• Communicate testing progress, risks, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior SDET, Test Lead, QA Lead, Test Manager, or equivalent testing leadership professional.
• SAP IS-U implementation or testing experience, preferably within a utility CIS transformation program.
• Strong understanding of utility business processes, including billing, metering, payments, collections, and meter-to-cash.
• Experience leading SIT, UAT, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Strong knowledge of test strategy, test planning, defect management, requirements traceability, and test coverage.
• Experience with data conversion validation, billing testing, and business process reconciliation.
• Ability to independently assess testing quality, identify gaps, and manage testing risks.
• Strong stakeholder management, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in electric, natural gas, or water utilities.
• SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA experience in utility-related business processes.
• CIS implementation, replacement, or transformation experience.
• SAP S/4HANA Utilities, change impact analysis, and utility integration experience.
• Test automation, automated regression testing, or Live Compare experience.

Work Arrangement

• Remote within the United States.
• Occasional travel to Columbus, Ohio, as required.
