Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Billing Senior Consultant in the United States to support design, configuration, testing, and implementation of SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions. You will work with stakeholders to translate utility billing requirements into functional solutions across the meter-to-cash lifecycle.

Responsibilities include gathering requirements, configuring billing schemas and master data, and ensuring successful project delivery. Travel up to 40–60% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Typically, 3–4 years of SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience with 3+ years hands-on SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing.
• Experience delivering functional requirements, configuration or solution design, testing, and production support in a utility environment.
• Experience configuring SAP IS-U billing schemas, rates, facts, operands, billing master data, invoicing, and billing-cycle processes.
• Experience supporting periodic and non-periodic billing, rebilling, reversals, adjustments, billing exceptions, and bill simulation.
• Understanding of meter-to-cash processes and dependencies among Billing, Device Management, Energy Data Management, FI-CA, Customer Service, and connected systems.
• Experience preparing functional specifications, configuration documentation, test scenarios, process flows, and project documents.
• Experience executing unit and integration testing and supporting UAT, regression testing, defect resolution, cutover, and production stabilization.

Responsibilities

• Gathering and analyzing billing and invoicing requirements across electric, gas, and water utilities.
• Configuring and supporting billing and invoicing workflows, master data, rates, and billing schemas.
• Configuring periodic and non-periodic billing, estimates, rebilling, reversals, and bill simulation.
• Validating invoicing, billing document creation, payment handoffs, and downstream postings with FI-CA.
• Coordinating across Device Management, Energy Data Management, FI-CA, Customer Service, and other teams.
• Preparing functional designs, configuration docs, test scenarios, and process flows.
• Executing unit/integration testing and supporting UAT, regression testing, and production readiness.
