Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Billing Senior Consultant to design, configure, test, and implement SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions for utility clients. You will translate billing requirements into functional designs and collaborate with stakeholder and technical teams to deliver accurate customer bills across the meter-to-cash lifecycle.

The role requires 3–4 years of SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience, including hands-on IS-U Billing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required.
• Typically 3–4 years of SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience, including 3+ years with SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing.
• Experience delivering functional requirements, configuration or solution design, testing and production support in a utility environment.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements for billing and invoicing across utility sectors.
• Configure SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions including master data, rates, and billing schemas.
• Configure periodic and non-periodic billing, rebilling, reversals, adjustments, and bill simulation.
• Validate invoicing, billing document creation, and downstream postings with FI-CA and related systems.
• Analyze billing exceptions and determine root causes across data and systems.
• Prepare functional designs, configs, test scripts, and process flows.
• Execute unit/integration tests and support UAT, regression, and defect resolution.
• Coordinate impacts across Device Management, Energy Data Management, FI-CA and other teams.
• Support time-of-use and other complex billing scenarios as required.
• Assist with go-live readiness, cutover, production incidents, and stabilization.
• Provide knowledge transfer to client teams and junior members.
