Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Billing Senior Consultant to design, configure, test, and implement SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions for utility clients. You will translate billing requirements into effective functional designs and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely customer bills across the meter-to-cash lifecycle.

The role involves working with business and technical teams, supporting unit/integration testing, and traveling 40–60% as needed to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Typically 3–4 years SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience, including 3+ years hands-on SAP IS-U Billing & Invoicing.
• Hands-on experience delivering functional requirements, configuration or solution design, testing, and production support in a utility environment.
• Experience configuring SAP IS-U billing schemas, rates, facts, operands, billing master data, billing orders, invoicing, and billing-cycle processes.
• Willingness to travel 40–60% to meet client needs.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements for billing and invoicing across electric, gas, and/or water utilities.
• Support functional design and configuration of SAP IS-U Billing & Invoicing solutions, including master data, rate structures, and billing orders.
• Configure and support billing, estimates, rebilling, reversals, adjustments, and bill simulation.
• Validate invoicing, billing document creation, and downstream postings with FI‑CA and related systems.
• Coordinate end-to-end process impacts across multiple teams and systems.
• Provide knowledge transfer and functional guidance to client teams and junior staff.
