Job summary

SMX is seeking a Senior S/4HANA SAP ABAP Developer to support a Greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementation for a large government contract. The role is remote supporting a Washington, DC based customer and requires a Public Trust clearance.

As a Senior Developer you will translate user requirements into technical designs, develop ABAP solutions, and potentially lead other developers. The project follows Agile/Scrum, encourages learning new technologies, and emphasizes proactive problem solving and

Qualifications

• 6 years of SAP ABAP development and overall SAP experience.
• Experience with S/4HANA.
• Hands-on experience integrating backend SAP and non SAP applications.
• Hands-on experience with SAP ABAP development and HANA CDS Views.
• Experience with SAP Fiori and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
• Proficiency in working with web services, proxies, and APIs for system integration.
• Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.
• Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Convert user requirements into technical design specifications and develop ABAP solutions aligned with those designs.
• Lead or guide other developers in maintainable development practices and during code reviews.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to quickly build solutions based on customer requirements.
• Maintain strong client communication and ensure security/compliance for government project.
