Armanino is seeking a Tax Senior Director in its State & Local Tax practice to lead complex multistate engagements and advise executive-level clients on planning, compliance, and transformation. You will expand client relationships and drive market growth while mentoring senior professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, taxation, or related field.
• Advanced knowledge of multistate sales and use tax laws and planning strategies.
• Minimum 12 years of State and Local Tax experience with deep sales and use tax expertise.
• Minimum 7 years in progressive leadership roles with complex client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for complex multistate sales and use tax engagements.
• Serve as senior advisor to executive-level clients on planning, compliance, audit defense, and controversy.
• Expand key client relationships and market presence through executive engagement.
• Provide firmwide technical leadership on taxability, nexus, classification, and sourcing.
• Direct multistate research and defensible technical positions.
• Champion scalable tools and technology-driven solutions to improve outcomes.
• Anticipate changes in state and local tax legislation and translate to client strategies.
• Build leadership capacity across SALT by developing professionals and coaching.
• Provide executive oversight across multiple client portfolios.
• Foster accountability, collaboration, and client-centered service.
