Job summary

SunStrong Management is seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineering Manager for Salesforce to lead a skilled team delivering SunStrong’s growing Salesforce platform. You will steer technical direction, ensure high-quality delivery, and scale architecture for rapid growth across the enterprise ecosystem.

You will mentor engineers, drive design decisions, oversee sprint ceremonies, and promote best practices while leveraging AI tooling to improve delivery and code health.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of software development experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Deep hands-on experience as engineering leader across enterprise-scale Salesforce ecosystem, including integrations with internal/external applications.
• Experience leveraging AI tooling to improve app quality and delivery (AgentForce tooling).
• Deep experience with Apex, LWC, SOQL, Flows, and Salesforce metadata model.
• Strong command of governor limits, bulkification, security model, and performance tuning.
• Proven experience with integration design (REST/SOAP, async processing, error handling, retry patterns).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the engineering lead for the cross-functional teams supporting SunStrong’s Salesforce platform (engineering, QA, product).
• Lead a team of Salesforce software engineers with mentorship and development plans.
• Build and maintain a high-performing team, including recruitment.
• Oversee architectural/design decisions for the Salesforce platform.
• Provide code reviews and mentorship to improve code health.
• Provide architectural planning and insights for development.
• Facilitate Agile sprint ceremonies: standups, planning, retrospectives.
• Identify and promote AI tooling opportunities to improve delivery.
• Promote best practices, coding standards, and scalable processes.
• Allocate resources effectively to meet deadlines and objectives.
• Foster a positive, inclusive culture encouraging innovation.
