Job summary

SunStrong Management is seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers building and expanding our Salesforce platform. You will drive technical direction, oversee architecture and design decisions, ensure high-quality deliveries, and foster a collaborative, innovative environment to support rapid growth.

You will manage cross-functional teams including engineering, QA and product, mentor engineers, support recruiting, and champion best practices, code reviews,

Qualifications

• 8+ years software development experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Hands-on leadership across enterprise-scale Salesforce ecosystem, integrating internal/external apps.
• Experience leveraging AI tooling to improve app quality and delivery, specifically AgentForce tooling.
• Deep expertise with Apex, LWC, SOQL, Flows, and Salesforce metadata model.
• Strong governance of governor limits, bulkification, security model, and performance tuning.
• Proven experience with REST/SOAP integration, async processing, error handling, and retry patterns.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the engineering lead for cross-functional teams supporting the Salesforce platform.
• Lead a team of Salesforce engineers, providing mentorship and development plans.
• Build and maintain a high-performing team, including recruiting across the org.
• Oversee architecture and design decisions across the Salesforce platform with architects.
• Provide code reviews and mentorship to improve code quality and delivery.
• Offer architectural planning and insights for application development.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies (standups, planning, retrospectives).
• Identify and promote opportunities to improve delivery with AI tooling.
• Promote best practices, coding standards, and scalable development methods.
• Manage and allocate resources to meet deadlines and objectives.
• Foster a positive, inclusive culture encouraging creativity and continuous improvement.
