Job summary

Cengage is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to partner with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance and Technology to design scalable Salesforce solutions for GTM. You will translate business needs into technical specifications, lead discovery, and drive improvements across the lead-to-cash lifecycle.

The role emphasizes collaboration, process optimization, and governance to promote adoption, data quality, and efficiency across internal users and workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Over 10 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or Systems Analyst.
• Practical experience providing support for Salesforce Sales Cloud and related business applications.
• Experience collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance and CRM teams.
• Strong business process analysis and process improvement skills.
• Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and collaborator management skills.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Visio, and Smartsheet.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with business leaders to understand goals and challenges.
• Lead discovery sessions and requirements workshops for improvements.
• Convert needs into functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Serve as liaison between business and technical teams through projects.
• Design scalable future-state workflows to improve data quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Salesforce teams to support GTM processes.
• Support Salesforce Sales Cloud enhancements, automation, security, and reporting.
• Evaluate solution options balancing requirements and maintainability.
• Write documentation for GTM workflows and Salesforce functionality.
• Identify opportunities to automate and standardize processes.
