Job summary

Thrivent Financial is seeking a Senior Salesforce Engineer to design, build, test, and maintain Salesforce solutions that power client relationships. You will work across Sales/Service Cloud, Apex, LWC, and integrations, collaborating with product partners and engineers to deliver scalable, secure outcomes.

Responsibilities include architecture, design discussions, and driving automation, testing, and observability.

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in Salesforce engineering.
• Deep expertise in Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
• Proficiency in Apex, including classes, triggers, and Batch Apex, plus JavaScript, LWC, and Visualforce.
• Experience with Salesforce integration and data technologies (REST, SOAP, CDC, Platform Events, SOQL, SOSL).
• Hands-on with Salesforce configuration and automation (custom objects, approval processes, Flow, Data Loader).
• Minimum 3 years with enterprise integration/platform tech (Java, Spring Boot, REST/SOAP, Confluent Kafka, OpenShift, Docker, TC Server, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ).
• Familiar with CI/CD and DevOps tools (VS Code/IntelliJ, Salesforce CLI, Git, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jira).
• Strong troubleshooting across Salesforce and connected systems; working in a DevOps product environment.

Responsibilities

• Define solution architecture and system design aligned with Salesforce best practices.
• Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions with partners.
• Develop and maintain Apex, LWC, Flows, and integrations; ensure quality and security.
• Implement features with established engineering standards and change-management processes.
• Conduct unit, integration, and performance testing; support production incidents.
• Improve CI/CD, DevOps practices, and engineering standards.
