Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is hiring a Salesforce Developer II to design world-class Salesforce applications and deliver scalable analytics. You will develop Apex, Lightning Components, and Visualforce, and create Tableau dashboards while collaborating with analysts and administrators to meet business needs.

You will also participate in releases, data integration projects, and ensure secure, high-performing solutions across Salesforce and Tableau environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering preferred.
• Platform Developer II Certification (preferred).
• 4+ years of Salesforce development experience.
• Experience developing customer-facing interfaces.
• Experience writing Apex classes and triggers.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication and data presentation skills.
• Understanding of Salesforce architecture and API.
• Experience using GitHub or other version control software.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with other applications.
• 2+ years of experience developing dashboards using Tableau.
• Experience working with Salesforce data and objects.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and data analysis.
• Experience with Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server/Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, translating those requirements into customized Salesforce solutions.
• Design, code, and implement Salesforce applications.
• Develop Apex (classes and triggers), Lightning Components, and Visualforce to extend Salesforce capabilities.
• Estimate work effort with project leadership and set schedules.
• Assist with release cycles to deploy updates to applications and code.
• Develop integrations from Salesforce to internal and third-party services.
• Test the stability and functionality of the application.
• Troubleshoot and fix bugs.
• Maintain security and integrity of the application software.
• Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
• Support Tableau Server/Cloud deployments, publishing, scheduling and refreshes.
