Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Salesforce Developer II to design world-class applications on the Salesforce platform and to build scalable Tableau-based analytics. The role collaborates with Business Analysts and Salesforce Administrators to translate requirements into robust solutions, including integrations with internal and third-party services.

The candidate should have 4+ years of Salesforce development experience, strong data presentation skills, and a proven ability to deliver

Qualifications

4+ years of Salesforce development experience.
Experience developing customer-facing interfaces.
Experience writing Apex classes and triggers.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication with data presentation skills.
Understanding of Salesforce architecture and API.
Experience using GitHub or other version control software.
Experience integrating Salesforce with other applications.
2+ years of experience developing dashboards using Tableau.
Experience working with Salesforce data and objects.
Proficiency in SQL for querying and data analysis.
Experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Cloud.

Responsibilities

Analyze business requirements, translating those requirements into customized solutions using the Salesforce platform.
Design, code, and implement Salesforce applications.
Develop Apex classes/triggers, Lightning Components, and Visualforce to extend Salesforce capabilities.
Assist in estimating work effort and setting realistic development schedules.
Support releases and deployments for new/updated applications and code.
Develop integrations from Salesforce to internal and third-party services.
Test application stability and functionality; troubleshoot issues.
Maintain security and integrity of the application software.
Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports.
