Job summary

Blackhawk Network is seeking a U.S. Sales & Tax Senior Accountant to manage sales and use tax compliance, data workflows, and related audits. This role partners with internal teams and external advisers to ensure timely filings and accurate data processing.

The position requires experience with Alteryx, Vertex, D365, and Power BI, plus strong Excel skills and attention to detail. Eligible for a hybrid work model across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting US sales and use tax compliance, including return preparation or review.
• Experience with tax data, reconciliations, and GL journal entries.
• Proficiency creating and maintaining Alteryx workflows.
• Strong Excel skills and handling large data sets.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to coordinate with internal stakeholders and third-party providers.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file sales and use tax returns; review for errors and completeness.
• Develop and maintain Alteryx workflows supporting data and reporting.
• Prepare tax-related journal entries and reconcile GL accounts.
• Submit business license renewals and track deadlines.
• Coordinate property tax filings and payments with third parties.
• Prepare annual W-9s and support documentation as needed.
• Review exemption certificates for accuracy and validity.
• Manage sales/use tax audits with internal and external teams.
• Maintain organized workpapers and drive process improvements.
