Blackhawk Network seeks a U.S. Sales & Tax Senior Accountant to manage sales and use tax compliance, data workflows, and audits across the organization. You will file returns, build Alteryx processes, and coordinate with third-party providers to ensure timely, accurate filings.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, problem solving, and collaboration with internal teams to maintain robust tax controls and support company growth. This position may be remote within the U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting US sales and use tax compliance, including return preparation or review.
• Experience working with tax data, reconciliations, and general ledger journal entries.
• Proficiency creating and maintaining Alteryx workflows.
• Strong Excel skills with large data sets.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders and third-party providers.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and judgment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file sales and use tax returns online; review filings for errors and completeness.
• Create, maintain, and update Alteryx workflows supporting tax data and reporting.
• Prepare tax-related journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare and submit business license renewals online; track deadlines.
• Format fixed-asset listings for property tax filings and coordinate third-party preparation.
• Prepare the annual W-9 and support related documentation.
• Review exemption certificates and maintain related records.
• Manage sales and use tax audits; gather records and coordinate responses.
• Maintain organized workpapers and seek process improvements.
