Job summary

ASI Heating and Air is seeking an experienced Sales Trainer to own and continuously improve the sales process across HVAC and Plumbing departments. You will lead classroom and field training, ride-alongs, and apprentice development, while partnering with leaders to ensure consistent execution and accountability.

The ideal candidate brings 2+ years in residential home services, proven coaching ability, and strong public speaking skills, with willingness to travel in the San Diego market.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of residential HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or related home services experience.
• Proven sales training, coaching, or mentoring experience.
• Strong understanding of residential sales processes and customer experience.
• Confident public speaker with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to travel throughout the San Diego market and occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Develop, standardize, and continuously improve the sales process across HVAC Equipment, HVAC Service, and Plumbing.
• Lead classroom and field training, weekly role-play, objection handling, and skill development.
• Conduct regular ride-alongs to observe and coach real customer interactions.
• Oversee sales apprentice training, role-play, ride-alongs, and assessments.
• Track and report key sales metrics such as close rates and average tickets.
• Partner with managers on coaching plans and performance improvement.
• Teach managers to coach and develop sales teams beyond the trainer.
• Align with call center leadership on booking, lead quality, and follow-up.
