Job summary

EisnerAmper is seeking a Sales Tax professional to join our SALT team in a hybrid Chicago office. You will manage the sales tax compliance process for clients and oversee related registrations and licenses.

You will interact with clients and staff, coordinate with state and local tax authorities, and ensure accurate tax filings. We value clear communication, organization, and practical problem solving.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience with sales tax compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent field.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Experience with sales tax preparation software such as Vertex or Alteryx.
• Understanding of sales tax issues, including exemption certificate management, tax accruals and reserves, journal entries and use tax issue.

Responsibilities

• Managing sales tax compliance process for clients sales tax returns on the state and local tax (SALT) team (SUT).
• Managing information and people related to sales tax compliance
• Interacting with clients and managing staff
• Corresponding with state and local tax authorities to resolve client issues
• Managing registrations and business licenses for clients
• Interacting with other state and local tax professionals as well as other professionals at the firm
