Job summary

EisnerAmper is seeking a Sales Tax Specialist to join its SALT team in a hybrid work model. You will manage the sales tax compliance process for clients, coordinate with staff, and interact with state authorities to resolve issues.

The role requires 2+ years in sales tax compliance, a bachelor’s in accounting, and strong communication and organizational skills; familiarity with Vertex or Alteryx is a plus and CPA/CMI are desirable.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience with sales tax compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent field.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with sales tax preparation software such as Vertex or Alteryx.
• Understanding of sales tax issues, including exemption certificate management, tax accruals and reserves, journal entries and use tax issue.

Responsibilities

• Managing sales tax compliance process for clients' sales tax returns on the SALT team (SUT).
• Managing information and people related to sales tax compliance.
• Interacting with clients and managing staff.
• Corresponding with state and local tax authorities to resolve client issues.
• Managing registrations and business licenses for clients.
