The ideal candidate will have a robust background in technical sales, a passion for cultivating client relationships, and a deep understanding of the New York City market.

Key Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in pump and motor repair sales or a related field
  • Willingness to commute regularly to New York City
  • Strong technical knowledge of industrial pumps and motors
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Existing contacts in the New York City commercial, industrial or municipal sectors (highly desirable)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients in the NYC area
  • Identify new business opportunities and generate leads within the local market
  • Provide technical advice and customized solutions to customers
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals
  • Collaborate with the repair team to ensure customer satisfaction and timely project completion
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, local regulations, and competitor activities
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events in the NYC area

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of pump and motor systems, repair processes, and industry standards
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the NYC metropolitan area

Preferred Qualifications

  • Established network of contacts in NYC’s industrial, commercial, or municipal sectors
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations related to pump and motor systems
  • Experience in selling to government agencies or large corporations in NYC

Location:

  • While the position requires regular commuting to New York City, some flexibility for remote work may be available for the right candidate.
  • Note: Candidates with established contacts and a proven track record in the NYC market will be viewed favorably in the selection process.
