Fulcrum is hiring for a full-time Sr. Sales Operations Specialist. The role is remote with occasional on-site meetings and quarterly business reviews.
Job Description
The Senior Sales Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in facilitating smooth operations within the sales department. The primary responsibilities encompass vendor deal registration, customer quotes, invoicing, reconciliation, participating in sales meetings, and collaborating with the marketing team when necessary.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver accurate and timely quotes to customers in alignment with company pricing policies and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with sales representatives to ensure quotes meet customer needs while maximizing profitability for the organization.
- Generate and process invoices promptly and accurately, adhering to established billing procedures.
- Monitor invoicing activities to identify and address any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of sales data, invoices, and payments to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies identified during the reconciliation process.
- Attend sales meetings to provide insights and support related to sales operations activities.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to address operational challenges and optimize processes to enhance sales effectiveness.
- Work closely with the marketing team to support sales initiatives, campaigns, and promotions.
- Provide input and feedback on marketing materials and strategies to ensure alignment with sales objectives.
- Manage the process of registering deals with vendors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with vendor requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to streamline the deal registration process and maximize benefits for the organization.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency in using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales and invoicing tools.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends and opportunities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in sales operations or a related role, preferably in a technology or software company.
- Strong understanding of vendor management, deal registration processes, and sales support functions.
Incumbent is required to work business days during normal business hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM), in addition to occasional evenings. Schedule is subject to change in accordance with business needs. Position is primarily remote with some light travel.
Physical Requirements:
- Listening/speaking on incoming phone calls on a regular basis.
- Work in front of a computer for a full day.
- Constant use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of equipment and writing utensils.
- Sitting – Frequently up to 1 hour at one time; occasionally up to 4 hours at a time.
- Regular Typing – frequently up to 1 hour at a time, occasionally up to 4 hours at a time.
