Sonesta Denver Downtown is seeking a Senior Sales Manager to execute the hotel's sales strategy, grow existing accounts, and generate new business to maximize revenue. You will work with the DOSM and leadership to drive occupancy and market share in a dynamic market.
The role reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing and offers a comprehensive benefits package. The position is on-site with pay ranging from $38.50 to $42.50 per hour for non-exempt work.

Develop business plans, monitor the competition and market trends to maximize market share, guest satisfaction, profitability and employee engagement. Develop and maintain relationships with key clients to produce room sales. Regularly sell hotel rooms through direct client contact; maintain a high level of visibility for the hotel in major market sales through direct sales solicitation; telephone contacts and written communication. Create and implement hotel-level tactical sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, increase business volume during off-peak periods. Enhance the image of the hotel in local community. Deliver sales activities/performance to ensure actual sales exceed the established revenue plan. Engage with guests and customers, obtain feedback and ensure guest expectations are always met and exceeded. Be a champion for the property by actively promoting the brand, being involved in the local community and building genuine and lasting relationships with local businesses, officials and various stakeholders. Follow up with clients regularly during and after departure to ensure satisfaction and secure future bookings. Develop, actively solicit, and map group business accounts per defined territory. Participate in daily business review meeting, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales-related meetings as required. Submit SMART Plans & Development Goals, and yearly Market Place Action Plans. Perform other duties as assigned.
Achieve budgeted revenues, control labor and maximize profitability. Work with Sales Team to develop a competitive pricing strategy to grow market share, occupancy, Rev/PAR and yield.
Responsible for ensuring success through the eyes of employees, guests, and owners. Utilize and collaborate with resources across different departments and corporate office.
