Job summary

Arthrex Colorado Springs is seeking a Senior Sales Leader to manage a sales territory and a team of representatives, delivering technical support and representing products in Capital, Shoulder, Knee and Hip categories. You will drive strategy, mentorship, and targeted execution to meet aggressive sales quotas.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of orthopedic experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience leading a team.
  • Ability to relate to customers in the orthopedic/sports medicine market.
  • Comfortable in open operating room environments and familiar with OR protocols.
  • Knowledge of orthopedic procedures and terminology as it relates to Arthrex.
  • Ability to learn a high level of technical information, anatomy and indications.
  • Strong public speaking and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, effectively managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong sense of urgency, self‑confidence and competitive drive.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable personal transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team in meeting and exceeding sales objectives for the territory.
  • Increase territory results by building and maintaining strong business relationships and by developing and implementing sales strategies.
  • Communicate with current and new customer accounts regarding product updates, changes to product portfolio and educational programs.
  • Implement new sales plans and effective marketing strategies to position the organization competitively and meet territory objectives.
  • Create and submit team quotas to executive sales leadership.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with residency and fellowship programs to drive product adoption, use and brand awareness.
  • Devise and implement plans and meetings to keep all levels of the team on target with quota achievement.
  • Identify new prospects' needs and develop written, telephone and face-to-face responses.
  • Cross-sell additional products and manage new product introductions as they become available.
  • Receive coaching and transfer knowledge to other managers and reps as needed.
  • Lead by example with time management and initiative; analyze sales performance and opportunities for growth.
  • Regularly analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
  • Maintain urgency and multi-task across deadlines.
  • Support Product Managers with establishing quotas to be submitted to Agency leadership.

Job description

The Senior Sales Leader will lead and manage a sales territory and accompanying representatives by assisting in sales, representation and technical support on products that include, but are not limited to the following categories: Capital (surgical video, integration, shaver, fluid management and radio-frequency products), Shoulder (soft tissue, bone, trauma, total shoulder, positioning products for the shoulder and upper extremities), and Knee and Hip (soft tissue, bone, trauma, positioning products for the knee, hip and lower extremities).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for leading the team in meeting and exceeding sales objectives for the territory.
  • Increase territory results by building and maintaining strong business relationships and by developing and implementing sales strategies.
  • Communicate with current and new customer accounts regarding a variety of topics, including product updates, changes to product portfolio and educational programs.
  • Implement new sales plans and effective marketing strategies to position the organization competitively and to meet/exceed territory objectives.
  • Create and submit team quotas to executive sales leadership.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with residency and fellowship programs to drive product adoption, use and brand awareness.
  • Devise and implement plans and meetings that hold all levels of the team accountable for staying on target with quota achievement.
  • Identify new prospects' needs and develop appropriate written, telephone and face-to-face responses.
  • Cross-sell additional products and manage new product introductions as they become available.
  • Receive coaching, training or mentoring from director of sales; transfer knowledge to other managers, sales representatives and sales associates as needed.
  • Lead by example. Demonstrate proper time and sales initiative use. Constantly analyze sales performance and opportunities for growth.
  • Regularly analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
  • Maintain a strong sense of urgency, multi-tasking skills and the ability to manage responsibilities under strict deadlines.
  • Support and assist Product Managers with establishing quotas to be submitted to Agency leadership.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5+ years of orthopedic experience
  • 1-2 years of experience leading a team
  • Demonstrated ability to relate to customers and constituents within the orthopedic/sports medicine market
  • Must be comfortable in open operating room environments and familiarity with operating room protocols
  • Knowledge of orthopedic procedures and terminology as it specifically relates to Arthrex
  • Ability to learn a high level of technical information, anatomy and indications as it relates to surgery and procedures
  • Strong public speaking and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, effectively managing multiple priorities
  • Strong sense of urgency, self-assurance, and competitive drive
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable personal transportation
