Role Overview

The Senior Sales Executive in the Small Law Channel is responsible for retaining and growing existing accounts and acquiring new ones within their territory, which primarily includes approximately 800 law firms of 1-10 attorneys. This field-based role requires excellent face-to-face, telephone, and written communication skills. Success depends on strong business acumen, trust-building, and knowledge of Thomson Reuters’ products and the legal industry.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Network and build relationships with customers via phone and in person to develop solutions and identify sales opportunities.
  2. Manage territory effectively, prioritizing goals and opportunities.
  3. Build trust and credibility with clients and internal teams.
  4. Demonstrate deep knowledge of Thomson Reuters products and the legal industry.
  5. Achieve sales and renewal targets through customer visits and calls.
  6. Showcase Small Law products to clients.
  7. Gather market intelligence and territory information.
  8. Address customer issues to maintain good relations.
  9. Complete sales reports and Salesforce documentation accurately and timely.
  10. Participate in sales meetings and industry events.
Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates will have:

  1. At least 5 years of successful sales experience, preferably in the legal industry.
  2. Four-year college degree or equivalent; JD is a plus.
  3. Experience with SaaS sales is advantageous.
  4. Strong sales skills, self-motivated, and energetic.
  5. Excellent communication and closing skills.
  6. Effective time management.
  7. Positive attitude in sales situations.
  8. Ability to work remotely and travel as needed.
  9. Proficiency with internet, prospecting, and database management.

Compensation

The target total cash compensation range for US locations is $178,500 - $331,500, including base salary and incentives, based on experience and location.
