Job description

Job Description: Senior Sales Engineer at Recorded Future

Recorded Future, with over 1,000 intelligence professionals, more than $300M in sales, and serving over 1,900 clients worldwide, is the world's most advanced and largest intelligence company.

As a Sr. Sales Engineer, you will collaborate closely with our West region account teams to support enterprise customers and prospects in tackling cybersecurity challenges. You will lead complex pilot engagements, guide the onboarding of tailored solutions, and ensure successful outcomes and long-term customer success. This role requires cybersecurity expertise, technical engineering skills, analytical thinking, and strategic business acumen.

Responsibilities:
  1. Drive content creation by generating new ideas, presentations, and technical approaches.
  2. Engage with prospective clients to understand their requirements, address technical questions, and deliver compelling product demonstrations.
  3. Plan and execute proof of value (POV) engagements.
  4. Develop and present sample use cases and analytical demo scenarios.
  5. Document and maintain the technical sales process for clarity and consistency.
  6. Resolve analytical, technical, and operational challenges.
  7. Promote user adoption across various use cases and customer environments.
  8. Lead interactive, technical workshops to showcase product value.
Qualifications:
  1. Ability to independently lead technical and sales calls within 45-60 days.
  2. Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Sales Engineer or Intelligence Analyst/Officer.
  3. Proven success in a pre-sales role within cybersecurity or threat intelligence.
  4. Deep expertise in cybersecurity or threat intelligence, with hands-on or operational experience in areas such as SOC/SIEM, Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, Threat Hunting, OSINT, or CTI.
  5. Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and executive audiences.
  6. Willingness to travel up to 30% (under non-pandemic conditions).
  7. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+, CISM) are preferred but not mandatory.
Additional Information:

The base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000-$200,000, determined by role, level, and location. This range reflects the minimum and maximum targets for new hires across all US locations. Compensation may include incentives, equity, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401K. Details will be shared during the hiring process.
