Position Summary

Location: California/Washington State/Oregon/Idaho (Remote)

Thales is hiring a Senior Sales Engineer to cover the West region of the US.

As a leading cyber-security provider for Application, Data, and API Security, our demand is high. Our Senior Sales Engineers are vital members of Thales Imperva’s sales team, supporting pre-sales with technical expertise and presentations. They collaborate closely with sales managers, prospects, and partners to demonstrate how our solutions meet and exceed customer needs.

Preferred candidates will have strong technical expertise in one of the following areas: Database Security & Architecture, Data Warehousing, or Web Application Security.

This role requires passing a post-offer background check. Qualified candidates with criminal history will be considered in accordance with applicable laws and ordinances.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in sales calls and visits, providing product demos and working with prospects to show value.
• Utilize customer-centric selling skills to drive revenue.
• Plan and execute product demonstrations and proofs of value.
• Work independently and as part of the sales team.
• Develop sales strategies with the team.
• Represent the company at trade shows and conferences as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• 7+ years in Data Architecture, Database Administration, network security, web application development, or related fields.
• Knowledge of databases such as Oracle, MS SQL, Sybase, DB2.
• Experience in Linux administration.
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP, load balancers, proxies, firewalls.
• Experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of compliance standards (PCI, SOX, HIPAA) is a plus.
• Ability to present technical material to groups.

Pay Transparency

The estimated total target compensation range is $145,250 - $269,750 USD annually, including base salary and variable pay. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and other factors.
