Job summary

Sauce Labs, a leading test automation platform, seeks a Senior Sales Engineer/Professional Services Consultant specializing in Playwright and modern testing. You will combine pre‑sales acuity with hands‑on implementation, helping customers adopt automated testing across web and API environments.

You’ll present to technical and business stakeholders, build production‑quality automation, and guide customers through discovery, PoCs, and enablement.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in software development, test automation, or technical consulting.
• Hands-on Playwright experience with test runner, fixtures, tracing, and parallelism.
• Proficient with TypeScript/JavaScript and modern web tech.
• Experience integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery sessions on architectures, testing practices, and security.
• Design demos focused on Playwright and modern test automation workflows.
• Build proofs of concept showing measurable customer value.
• Translate requirements into scalable architectures using Sauce Labs.
• Address security, integration, and competitive considerations during sales.
• Collaborate with account teams to define success criteria and communicate value.
• Present to developers, QA, security, and procurement stakeholders.
• Create reusable assets, samples, and migration playbooks.
• Implement, optimize Playwright frameworks for customer environments.
• Integrate tests with CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).
• Develop fixtures, utilities, reporting integrations, and framework standards.
• Diagnose flaky tests and environmental issues; provide training and governance.
• Support post-implementation reviews and propose improvements.
