Job summary

Ping Identity seeks a Principal Sales Engineer to partner with the sales team, delivering engaging customer-focused meetings, demonstrations, and PoCs that articulate business and technical value.

You will apply deep technical and consultative skills, working with customers from C-level to developers, to understand needs and craft innovative solutions that align with business initiatives. The role requires travel and cross-region collaboration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a solution pre-sales role.
• Experience with IAM in enterprise organizations.
• Knowledge of IAM protocols and formats (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, LDAP, XML).
• Ability to lead pre-sales engagements and PoCs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-sales activities, including demonstrations and PoCs.
• Provide technical guidance to customers, partners, and teams.
• Lead demos and build out solution showcases.
• Collaborate across teams to provide deep technical expertise.
• Ensure smooth handover between pre- and post-sales phases.
• Lead opportunities with Ping teams and Account Executives to close deals.
• Travel 20–30%, primarily in the UK with occasional EMEA travel.
