Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Sales Director - BPO & Digital Operations CMT to accelerate growth across our Digital Operations unit within the Communications, Media, and Technology segment. You will lead high-value, multi-million-dollar transformation deals and shape our approach to new logo acquisition with a focus on revenue, margin, and pipeline performance.

You will build executive-level relationships, partner with cross-functional teams, and drive AI-led operational innovations.

Qualifications

• 10 to 25 years of overall industry experience, with 10+ years in digital-native or technology-driven environments, and a strong background in BPO, Digital Operations, or Scale Operations, preferably within CMT or adjacent technology segments.
• Proven experience leading $10M+ annual revenue portfolios with deal sizes and TCV in the $10M–$30M range, including consultative, solution-led selling across large, complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
• Deep understanding of AI Ops, Business services, technology platform companies, and digital operating models, with a strong point of view on Agentic AI and how it is transforming business operations, relevant to Digital natives, e-commerce, Hi-Tech and SaaS industries.
• Experience advising clients on location and operating model strategy, engagement model transformation, and business value articulation and ROI-led solutioning, with a strong analytical mindset to translate client challenges into scalable solutions.
• Proven ability to operate effectively within global, matrixed organizational structures.
• Demonstrated ability to lead with strategic vision, client-centric thinking, innovation, disciplined execution, collaboration and a commitment to developing people in line with the Cognizant Way to Lead.
• Proven track record of building trust, demonstrating ownership, exercising sound judgment and fostering an inclusive culture that supports growth and associate success.

Responsibilities

• Lead new logo acquisition and portfolio growth strategy, identifying, shaping, and closing large, complex BPO and Digital Operations deals while delivering against revenue, margin, and pipeline performance metrics.
• Establish and sustain executive-level relationships with senior client stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and providing thought leadership on industry trends, operating models, and Operations-led transformation.
• Partner with Solutions, Delivery, Process Excellence, and Automation teams to craft differentiated, outcome-driven client propositions.
• Lead end-to-end account ownership including deal shaping, forecasting, budgeting, and P&L accountability to drive measurable revenue and profit growth.
• Engage with industry bodies, analysts, and advisors and navigate complex global, matrixed organizations to align Cognizant's IOA and CMT offerings with market needs.
• Consistently demonstrate the Cognizant Way to Lead through strategic agility, client value creation, AI-led innovation, disciplined execution, collaborative ecosystem building and amplifying human potential through a culture of growth, inclusion and effective human-AI collaboration.
