Founded in 2017, Lume is a transformative personal care brand on a mission to normalize body odor beyond pits and provide people with outrageously effective solutions so they don’t have to think twice about odor. We are pioneers of the whole body deodorant category, with a portfolio of odor-blocking products including anti-perspirants, aluminum-free deodorants, body washes, body creams, cleansing bars and laundry sprays. Lume products are OB/GYN developed, made with skin-safe ingredients that are gentle enough for the most sensitive parts and often referred to as “life-changing” by our customers. About the Team

The Lume & Mando Retail team is a critical function responsible for developing and executing winning strategies with our Retail partners through thoughtful planning and execution. The team unites capabilities across account management, retail planning and operations, go-to-market strategy, and analytics to help shape our retail partnerships, drive sales, and serve our customers across retail channels.

About the Role

The Senior Sales Analyst will play a critical role in Lume and Mando’s success at Retail. This multi-dimensional customer-facing position will be responsible for managing all aspects of strategic analysis and business performance for Lume and Mando. As this role will work across internal and external teams, it requires strong collaboration skills and attention to detail to ensure efficient and accurate results.

What you will accomplish:

  • Provide the primary customer and internal analytic support for our Lume Retail business in relevant personal care categories - inclusive of category, market, and assortment performance analysis
  • Serve as a Retail/CPG thought leader across internal and external partners - developing your individual sales analytics roadmap and thinking ahead about what data will be useful for partners to drive decision making
  • Be a “storyteller” - interpret the data and create and deliver compelling presentations for both internal and external partners based on data-driven insights and recommendations
  • Create and manage weekly/monthly scorecards for internal and external tracking of the retail business
  • Be the go-to for ad-hoc retail reporting and analysis, supporting the Retail Team and Lume Leadership by answering business questions, preparing for category reviews, and thought leadership for our retail partners
  • Independently identify and drive deep-dive strategic projects that help unlock new opportunities through thoughtful analysis of the category, competitive dynamics, shopper demographics, and purchase dynamics
  • Serve as an external and internal influencer within the business, empowering the team to make data-driven decisions quickly by identifying the “so what” and “why” behind the headlines
  • Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Support broader retail analytics projects beyond the specific requirements of your customer team as a key team member to help improve overall sales analytics capabilities
  • Onboard new ways of working and tools to improve our collective ability to develop business insights

This should describe you:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years in an analytical, planning, data-driven role. Experience working with syndicated data (Circana (IRI)/Nielsen) is highly preferred.
  • Working with data excites you, you have the ability to manage and synthesize complex data from multiple sources, and create solid business recommendations
  • Professional and enthusiastic team player with a passion to work collaboratively across teams and drive results
  • Takes ownership and responsibility for the work and desires to be seen as a sales analytics leader and business decision partner, not just a report generator
  • Excellent communicator with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • You are insatiably curious and always looking to learn something new - seeking to improve yourself, your team, and the world around you
  • Proficient in either Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides) or Microsoft Office Business Suite (PowerPoint and Excel). Experience in ThinkCell is a plus.

Here's who you'll work with:

  • Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Retail Analytics
  • Working on the Retail Team, closely aligned to one of our customer teams, focusing on the analytics needs of that business
  • You will work closely with Sales Managers, the Head of Retail, external customer contacts, Finance, and Operations & Supply Planning.

That said, our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of our total rewards package, which also includes a comprehensive set ofbenefits and our equity program. The base salary hiring range for this position is $64,080-$85,000 (Tier 3).
The final compensation offer will ultimately be based on several considerations, such as the candidate’s location, skill level and experience. For candidates located outside of the target geographic area, base salary hiring ranges will be adjusted accordingly. This role is primarily hiring candidates in our Tier 3 geographic areas.Eligible states: AZ, CA, CO, GA, IL, KY, MA, MI, MN, NC, NJ, NY, OH, PA, TN, TX, UT, WA
Tier 1: NYC Metro Area
Tier 2: Boston, D.C., & Seattle
Tier 3: All other eligible US cities
