Job summary

Chef Works in Poway, CA is seeking a Senior Sage 300 Developer to own the full Sage 300 ERP ecosystem, including custom development, complex integrations, SQL design, and business reporting. You will bridge legacy VB6 and modern C#/.NET environments with end-to-end ownership of deliverables.

The role focuses on deep technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and delivering reliable ERP solutions that improve operational efficiency and business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience with Sage 300 ERP expertise including COM API and Web APIs.
• Advanced proficiency in VB6 for legacy maintenance, C# / .NET Framework, and Python for Sage 300 frameworks.
• Strong MS SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, and database design experience.
• Proven ability to design and deliver enterprise integrations with REST APIs, Swagger/OpenAPI, and data synchronization.
• Experience building custom reporting and BI solutions with Crystal Reports and Sage Intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Sage 300 ERP solutions including macros and customizations.
• Build and maintain .NET applications using the Sage 300 COM API; create Python-based solutions in Orchid Extender.
• Maintain and migrate VB6 components to .NET where appropriate.
• Architect and implement integrations between Sage 300 and third-party systems (CRM, eCommerce, WMS, shipping, payment gateways).
• Optimize MS SQL Server databases and build complex queries for performance.
• Develop reports and dashboards using Crystal Reports and Sage Intelligence.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and drive delivery.
• Review code, mentor junior developers, and uphold standards.
• Identify automation opportunities and maintain technical documentation.
