Job summary

Tri-City Group is seeking an Organizational Safety Training Specialist to design, coordinate, and deliver safety training across Davenport, IA. The role ensures our workforce is trained, current, and confident in OSHA-required courses, MSHA, and DOT safety programs.

You will lead classroom sessions, hands-on field demonstrations, and the safety portion of new hire orientation, while collaborating with safety leadership, DOT compliance, and foremen to reinforce a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; associate's or bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of safety training experience in construction, utility, electrical, or industrial settings.
• Working knowledge of OSHA general industry and/or construction standards.
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel daily and occasionally overnight.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Strong organizational skills to manage schedules, records, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and deliver OSHA-required and general safety training across all operating companies.
• Develop task-specific safety training tailored to each division.
• Maintain accurate training records and certifications.
• Coordinate MSHA training and stay current on regulatory updates.
• Partner with the DOT Compliance Coordinator for vehicle and equipment safety training.
• Lead safety portions of new hire orientation.
• Support training for external customers when requested.
