Job summary

Tri-City Group is seeking an Organizational Safety Training Specialist to design, coordinate, and deliver safety training across all Tri-City Group operating companies in Davenport, IA. You will ensure our workforce is trained, current, and confident in OSHA-required courses, field training, and MSHA/DOT safety programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma; bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience delivering safety training, ideally in construction, utilities, electrical, or industrial settings.
• Working knowledge of OSHA general industry and/or construction standards.
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills; able to engage diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and deliver OSHA-required safety training across all operating companies (e.g., fall protection, PPE, electrical safety, confined space).
• Develop task-specific safety training tailored to each company/division and respond to emerging hazards and operational changes.
• Maintain training records and certifications for compliance and audit readiness.
• Coordinate MSHA training and track MSHA compliance across sites.
• Partner on vehicle and equipment safety training; reinforce DOT safety expectations in sessions.
• Support foreman development by providing safety coaching and leadership tools.
• Lead safety portions of new hire orientation and external training as requested.
