Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Senior Safety Specialist - Safety Trainer to coordinate and implement the field safety program for routine and complex construction projects. You will conduct inspections, document abatements, write reports and perform trend analysis in support of JE Dunn’s strategy and values.

You will lead safety training, oversee orientation, and chair project safety committees while partnering with leadership to drive continuous safety improvements across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety/health preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• OSHA Authorized Trainer preferred.
• 5+ years construction safety experience.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations.
• Experience delivering training and keeping records.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement field safety program for construction projects.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections for compliance.
• Perform safety audits and document abatement actions.
• Oversee new hire safety orientation and drug/alcohol policy.
• Lead project safety committees and training sessions.
• Investigate accidents and identify root causes.
• Monitor training records and safety metrics.
