Job summary

JE Dunn Construction’s Advanced Facilities Group seeks a Safety Specialist to coordinate field safety programs for routine construction projects across our operations. You will conduct site inspections, safety audits, and oversee new hire orientation and compliance with drug/alcohol policies.

You will support field leadership, monitor contractor safety programs, lead safety meetings, and investigate incidents to determine root causes and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety/health-related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years construction or related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement field safety program for routine construction projects.
• Conduct regular walk-through inspections to ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
• Conduct safety audits and document abatement of hazardous conditions with internal/external clients.
• Oversee new hire orientation and drug/alcohol policy compliance.
• Monitor prime contractor/subcontractor safety programs and attend project safety meetings.
• Investigate accidents and recommend changes to prevent recurrence.
